Ukrainian authorities have declared the start of mass production for an innovative domestically developed interceptor drone to strengthen its aerial protection systems. Three initial producers have begun production, with an additional eleven getting ready to set up assembly lines, Ukrainian military officials stated this past Friday.

'Octopus' Technology Proven in Combat Conditions

These UAVs will be based on a domestically developed technology known as “Octopus” engineered to neutralize Shahed drones. This technology has been tested in actual battle and proved successful “at night, under jamming and flying low,” the ministry stated. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has set an ambitious goal of manufacturing up to 1,000 interceptors each day.

Recent Attack on Kyiv Characterized as Deliberate
