Cuban Government Denies Accusations of Deploying Forces to the War
The Cuban government on the weekend denied US claims it has provided troops to engage in the Ukraine war, while affirming the government "lack precise details about Cuban nationals" engaged "on their own" or "as part of the armed units of the conflicting parties".
The government department in the capital stated 26 nationals had been convicted to prison terms ranging from five to 14 years for mercenary involvement since September 2023 when information emerged of individuals being deployed to the battlefield in the conflict.
